Everyone is looking for Happiness. All of us, no-matter who we
are, a homemaker, a blue-color worker, a white color worker, celebrity
or sports figure. Regardless of who we are or what our background
is we are all looking for the same thing - Happiness.
Everyone is looking for Happiness. All of us, no-matter who we
are, a homemaker, a blue-color worker, a white color worker, celebrity
or sports figure. Regardless of who we are or what our background
is we are all looking for the same thing - Happiness.
For most of us it's so elusive, it only comes around every
so often - if that. Now why do you suppose that is?
Maybe it's because we are looking in the wrong place?
Here's how most of us do it, I'm not totally happy
right now, but in the future I'll finally achieve this goal
or that goal or fulfill this dream or that dream, and THEN
I'll be happy.
So we dream of a relationship, a career, the right job, or of more
money, or we dream of the right house, or dream of having the kind
of body that we want, and we say.... then I will be happy. How
much time do we spend on a regular basis thinking about it, wishing,
hoping, praying that things would change? Dwelling on how we want
to be, SOMEDAY, but nothing or only a few things really change in
our lives. The years fly by and we keep getting older and we are
still waiting for that day when we will be happy. The day when one
of more of our dreams will be fulfilled.
Unfortunately, that magic someday never really comes for most of
us, and then we keep settling for so much less than we aspire to
have, to be, or to do... and you know what? If you are having
this experience, you are not alone. This seems to be the natural
order of things. I would say 98% of people live their life within
what can be described as quiet desperation.
But good news, if you understand the following you can learn to
live your life from a different perspective. You are more successful
than you think I guarantee it. All you have to do is change HOW
you think about your expectations, or of yourself, or of others
and you'll always be happy!
We have all been happy; we've all felt on top of the world,
we've all been successful at something at some point in or
life. What's sad is that we have taught our brains to only
identify personal success by having accomplished something and not
by the journey of accomplishment.
Wouldn't it be nice if we can feel accomplished, successful,
happy and fulfilled no-matter what we are doing or what we are accomplishing?
Although that would be great, most people have trained their brain
to work in the opposite. They have to achieve something or things
have to go their way, BEFORE they feel good or
happy.
I'm here to tell you, you need to FEEL GOOD FIRST!
You need to feel amazing, like nothing can ever happen that will
phase you. Why? The probabilities of getting exactly what you want
by feeling good while your achieving it are higher than if you feel
defeated and beaten down and you always have to overcome that feeling
in order to get what you want.
You need to be inspired by 'Who You Are' not by what
you expect what you can accomplish!
Let's retrain your brain to be inspired by your way to getting
results.
Here is how to do it!
Step 1. Write down all the things that you expect
of yourself.
Step 2. How will you feel when you accomplish
these things? (Write down all these feelings)
Step 3. Ask yourself "How can I make myself
feel this way regardless of my results?" -keep on asking
until you get at least 10 answers.
By doing the above steps every time you think of one of your expectations,
and following through on each step, you will learn to be inspired
by you!
My favorite quote comes from Pantanjali, writer of the Yoga Sutras.
"When you are inspired by some great purpose...
Some extraordinary project, all your thoughts break their bonds;
your mind transcends its limitations and you consciousness expands
in every direction.
You find yourself in a new great and wonderful world. Dormant forces
and faculties and talents become alive... and you discover yourself
to be a greater person by far than you dreamed yourself to be"
- Pantanjali
Remember... I believe in you... DO you believe in you?
Till Next time,
